HistoricTrails.org turns local history into free, self-guided walks. Families, youth groups and visitors follow a map from stop to stop, read the story at each one, and test themselves with a quiz for kids. Your brochure or tour can become one of those walks.
Your organization is shown as the hike's creator, with a link to your website.
We can build the first draft from your existing brochure or tour. You review it privately, change anything you like, and nothing is public until you press Publish.
Send us your brochure or tour notes. We'll build the first draft for free, and you decide when it goes live.
How does HistoricTrails.org make money? Some hikes offer a commemorative patch to order. Someday we might offer more souvenirs, or charge to build hikes for organizations that would rather not build their own.
What the license means: Hikes are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. Anyone may share or adapt your hike, but they must credit you and share their version the same way. If your organization would need other terms to take part, contact us so we can understand what you need.
